Il Cenacolo is an Italian Cultural Association based in Cleveland, Ohio which dates back to 1928. Our name was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s painting, now residing close to the Duomo of Milan, which exemplifies both the Italian cultural roots as well as the convivial spirit of our Italian Association.

Cenacolo’s Mission
The mission of our association has been, since its inception, to promote Italian culture, language and traditions. We are a group of individuals tied to by the common bond of appreciation of Italian Arts, Language and Culture.
Cenacolo’s activities
Members of il Cenacolo meet on the second Monday evening of each month, and participate in presentations, lectures and activities which span a wide spectrum of Italian subjects, mainly by attending presentations, but also from museum art visits, musical performances or other events related to Italian Culture. Some of the activities are presented in Italian, while others are in English.

Scholarships
Il cenacolo is a non-profit organization that grants scholarships for the academic enrichment of high school and college students through the Ferdinand and Ina Fournier Fund. Cenacolo’s rich history is preserved in the archives of the Italian American Collection of the Western Reserve Historical Society.

We are happy to inform you that our new location for our gatherings will be the Italian American Museum of Cleveland, 12111 Mayfield Road, in historic Little Italy. This location lends itself very well to participating to the presentation while being able to explore the possibility of stroll down Murray Hill for a coffe and pastry from Presti’s bakery, a Gelato, a drink or even dinner before of after the event.
